20 Minute Cardio Challenge
I absolutely love a good sweat session. But, as I’m getting older, my body can’t quite handle the intense workouts that my 20 year old body was used to. Since my diagnosis with Dupuytren’s Disease and some chronic hip pain, I have had to put my CrossFit days well behind me. So I’ve recently had to get creative and also humble with how I move my body.
If you are in a similar boat, where you have been diagnosed with a chronic illness or have an injury that you feel is holding you back, then you are in the right place. I totally understand how it feels to be trapped in a body that can’t quite continue to perform like it used to. BUT, this doesn’t mean that we have a free ride to sit on the sidelines and do nothing. There are things we can do and ways to move that specifically fit the season we are in physically.
I created this 20 minute core and cardio session with you in mind. This workout is modifiable for most women. You could actually grab a chair and follow along with me sitting down if that works best for your body too. I absolutely love moving my body in worship to the Lord and I pray that its evident as you follow along with me. All you need for this workout is an open heart and a small space in which to move your body.
The workout consists of:
Jumping Jacks – 60 sec
Step Backs – 60 Sec
Jab Jab Jab Knee – 60 sec
Knee Ups – 60 sec
Rest – 30 sec
REPEAT 3 Times
Mountain Climbers – 30 sec
Plank Jacks – 30 sec
Rest 30 sec
REPEAT 2 Times
Have fun and move in love! Like, comment and share if you enjoy.
